[tennisbiz] Tennis Vs Golf stats
<x-charset iso-8859-1>I run a tennis facility in a 5 star resort in Mauritius, which offers many
other activities, primarily golf. As
with many similar resorts, tennis is always competing with golf, not only
for clients but with regards to hotel PR priorities. It seems that most
hotel chains are putting all their eggs in one basket; ie: putting all its
resources in pushing golf, to the detriment of tennis.
With this in mind, I would like to present the management of my hotel with a
report of the state of tennis vs the state of golf. Its is not general
knowledge yet that golf is on the decline whilst tennis is living a rebirth
at the moment.
I have been able to get some very good up-to-date stats on the growth of
tennis. However, I now need to find some very incriminating evidence
against golf and I was therefore wondering if anybody had any accurate
statistics that
would make golf look real bad. If not, do you know where I might be able to
find this kind of information.
