[tennisbiz] Re: building a tennis court

From: Bill Thompson <>
Date: Sat 17 Aug 2002 13:43:29 EDT

Building a tennis court or resurfacing an existing tennis court in Norway is
outside of my area of expertise. Conditions you describe are even more severe
than the outdoor tennis courts at Arlington Heights High School (i.e.,
northwest of Chicago) where I
played high school tennis with light snow falling on April 1st, 1960
Tom, I would recommend you contact Sheldon Westervelt, PE, Director, South
Division, Global Sports and Tennis Design Group, LLC. Sheldon is a pro's pro
in any area of building, designing, constructing, reconstructing, rebuilding,
resurfacing of tennis courts. Sheldon has built and consulted re: tennis
courts and tennis facilities worldwide for 35-40 years. Sheldon can be
reached at:
Southern Division, 7374 Kahana Drive, Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 USA
Tel: 561-733-1633 Fax: 561-733-7035 Cell phone: 561-310-4148
Among the tennis folks I have met and kibitzed over the last 40 years Sheldon
is among the true "winners" in sharing his vast experience and advice in
building and updating tennis courts.
Tom, good luck with your project in Norway.
For better tennis and more new tennis courts,

Bill Thompson
