[tennisbiz] Re: Looking for a Serving Toss Drill
<x-charset iso-8859-1>Maria Hinojosa is a teaching pro in Savannah, Georgia. She helped us develop
the "Toss Doctor." It is a soft foam ball on an 18" elastic string, since
18" is about the same height from the extended hand to the point of contact
for anyone using an adult racquet of 27-28".
Take a look at the picture at
under and you will get the idea and possibly be able to
make your own. The good thing about the Toss Doctor is that a foam ball is
used, since many beginners are actually afraid of being hit by the ball on
the way down. This "fear factor" alone is part of why many beginners have
extended problems with their toss.
