Re: Motivating movement on the court
The most successful way that I have found to get people to move on the
court is to ask them how many steps it would take to move from one spot
to another. Let's say they say it would take 5 steps. Ask them to move
to that spot fitting in 10 steps as quickly as they can. This works if
your pupil is willing to work with you.
Also, get them to count out the steps loudly so the evidence of their
movement is before them. Awareness is the key to changing anything.
